If you're planning on going to PAX East (if you haven't bought a ticket, they're sold out so tough cookies), you can look forward to your forgotten dream of bringing doom and destruction to your enemies as a gigantic alien battle robot.

Mayan Death Robots, brought to you by Sileni Studios, is a PvP based game that "reinvents the artillery genre in a Mayan setting." As a player, all you need to do is pick a robot that suits your needs from the roster, enter an arena, and take out your opponent's power core, all while dodging crazy weapons and destroying the beautiful scenery. The game instills 2D beauty, and what is quite unique to the game is the Mayan take in the art direction, though one shouldn’t be distracted with it for very long. You never know when you take a rocket to the face.

I’m kind of reminded of Broforce now… you know, with the amount of destruction that can be caused from a few rockets.

The game has recently won the award for "Best in Show - Audience Choice" at Casual Connect Eastern Europe 2014.

If destructive robots and pretty colors are your thing and you want to give this game a whirl, you can contact ted@calico-media.com to schedule an appointment. You will find the game at the Indie Megabooth at PAX East, so it's a good idea to at least take a look at it if you're there.
