Poor 343 Industries has been struggling constantly with trying to make things right for its fan base in concerns to a game many fans have been attempting to enjoy: The Master Chief Collection. Bonnie Ross, the head of 343i, has initially apologized to the players and promised to fix the experience through multiple updates. Though the game is not 100% perfect, it has improved, but patches are not the only fixes Ross has promised. She also has promised one month of Xbox Live Gold, an exclusive in-game nameplate, and an exclusive in-game avatar. As a special bonus, MCC will be updated with the Halo 3: ODST campaign, upgraded to 1080p and 60fps, and will be free to all players who have played MCC between the launch date of November 11, 2014 and December 19th, 2014. That is not all, however. A fan-favorite multiplayer map, Relic, from Halo 2: Anniversary, will be released and fully remastered at 1080p and 60fps. Really great deals, if I do say so myself.
It seems that 343i is doing its best to make MCC a very positive experience for fans, though the game has been released on bad footing. Will this be enough to procure players and regain the trust that has been lost? I think so, especially since so much has been offered for a low price of free. The amount of apologizing has even tempted me to support the studio by purchasing a copy of the Master Chief Collection.
