Mass Effect: Andromeda teased by EA

A tease here, a trailer there.

EA's biggest draw at this year's E3 was, of course, Battlefield 1, which didn't disappoint as far as trailers go, but was still kind of a bummer when they did exactly what we knew they would do and announced the game would be flooded with DLC (which we're calling 'macrotransactions', now?) But Battlefield and FIFA wasn't the only big names that got some love at this year's E3: the mostly beloved Mass Effect franchise also turned heads, with a brand new trailer that told us very little but reminded us that Asari's are still about as cute as you remember.

A whole new galaxy awaits for you to explore. Mass Effect: Andromeda pushes the boundaries of known space into the next generation, delivering distant star systems with remote and hostile planets ripe for discovery.

So yeah, not a lot of information. We already knew it wouldn't star Shepard, but one thing that does constitute 'news' is the fact that it'll be taking place in an entirely new galaxy. Which is exciting, but, if we'll be seeing the same ol' aliens there, there doesn't seem to be much of a point (Not that I'm complaining, we always need more Salarians). They also say there will be a bigger emphasis on exploration, since other humans will be in a very short supply, but my big question, of course, is which alien creatures will we get to 'explore' in a more intimate setting, if you know what I mean.

Fingers crossed for a romance-able Salarian. Or, or, those weird, religious jellyfish things. I'd tap that. I'd tap anything.

...god, I'm lonely.
