Mass Effect: Andromeda is coming out for both PC and console (Not the Switch, however, apologies to you sad Nintendo folks), and it’s coming out soon. While console fans only have to worry about if they’ll be upgrading to the PS4 Pro or the Xbox Scorpio, PC players need to ensure that their rigs are powerful enough to handle the latest masterpiece from Bioware. Well, now that the game’s gone gold, Bioware has decided to finally give the PC gamers what they need: the chance to learn about the game’s hardware, and prepare their PC’s in case something needs an update.
Here're the specs:
MINIMUM SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
OS: 64-bit Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10
PROCESSOR: Intel Core i5 3570 or AMD FX-6350
MEMORY: 8 GB RAM
VIDEO CARD: NVIDIA GTX 660 2GB, AMD Radeon 7850 2GB
HARD DRIVE: At least 55 GB of free space
DIRECTX: DirectX 11
RECOMMENDED SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
OS: 64-bit Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10
PROCESSOR: Intel Core i7-4790 or AMD FX-8350
MEMORY: 16 GB RAM
VIDEO CARD: NVIDIA GTX 1060 3GB, AMD RX 480 4GB
HARD DRIVE: At least 55 GB of free space
DIRECTX: DirectX 11
Pretty reasonable, all things considered, and 55 GB’s of free space is fairly standard for triple-A games these days. That said, Bioware also said they’re hard at work on their day 1 patch, so it’s probably going to be a few gigabytes larger than that.
Still, good to know.
