EA's at it again. As you know, their "On the House" special is something they do pretty regularly, offering free copies of their old games, usually to promote new games from that series. And this week, the very same week we learned the release date for the upcoming Mass Effect sequel, Andromeda, EA decided to offer folks one of the games from the legendary trilogy for absolutely free. The second one.

To get your paws on Mass Effect 2, you'll first need an Origin account. Then, go to  this website right here, log yourself in, then click "add to game library," and you're done. That's it. You now own a copy of Mass Effect 2, which is nice, but also pretty cynical on EA's end. I mean, the second game? In the trilogy? So you've either never played before and you'll want to get the first game for context, or you have, and for some reason, you only played the first and third?

I mean, sure, it's a seven-year-old game, but still. Then again, if you just lost your original copy, then this wouldn't be a bad way to get a new one...

But I'm overthinking it. Get Mass Effect 2 for free if you want, don't if you don't. Simple as that.

But free stuff is always nice, no?
