Senran Kagura is a pretty popular series, and for good reason. The humor, tight gameplay, and erm... other assets...
Nevertheless, the popularity of the series has prompted Marvelous Entertainment to establish a subsidiary company under the name Honey∞Parade Games, which will launch on May 9. The studio's main focus will be Senran Kagura, but it will also aim to create a "next generation" IP.
At the helm of the studio is Senran Kagura series producer Kenichiro Takaki, who will serve as representative director for the new company.
Honey∞Parade Games now has a capital stock of 10 million yen, which is about $92,000. This has been funded entirely by Marvelous. Furthermore, though home console games will be one focus, online games and video content appear to be other operations for the company.
