The world may not need more Amiibos, but that won't stop Nintendo from making them. Yet oddly enough, only now are they announcing a Marina and Pearl Amiibo set.

The popular host of Nintendo's popular shooter will be getting their own Amiibos. This was announced at the resolution of Splatoon 2 Koshien 2018, a Japanese tournament for the game. The Amiibos will come in a 2 pack for $24.99. Alongside the amiibo, Nintendo also announced a new upcoming map, Goby Arena.

It remains unknown as to what the Amiibo will do in-game. But if they are anything like the previous Splatoon ones, it will provide the player with new gear.

Furthermore, Nintendo also announced a new upcoming stage, Goby Arena. This stage is themed after a basketball court and will be entering the game's usual rotation later this year.

Marina and Pearl first appeared in Splatoon 2 as the pop star hosts of Off the Hook, an in-game TV show. They quickly grew a fanbase even before the game's release, thanks to their appealing style.
