The months following a busy holiday release schedule are typically a slow time for game releases. Like a flower bulb poking its way through the snow covered grown, March is beginning to sprout life for what promises to be a year of amazing games.
March 4th
South Park: The Stick of Truth [PS3/360/PC]- The definitive South Park game by the developer of Fallout: New Vegas and KOTR II: The Sith Lords.
The Walking Dead: Season 2, A House Divided [PC/MAC/PS3/360/iOS]- The tale of Clementine continues in the second season of Telltale's award winning series.
Marth 11th
Titanfall [Xone/360/PC]- Microsoft exclusive, developed by the creators of Call of Duty, with the publishing strength of EA... a game as titanic as the mechs you pilot.
Dark Souls 2 [PS3/360/PC]- Prepare to die... A LOT! The brutally excellent action RPG returns. PC version won't be murdering you until April.
TowerFall Ascension [PS4/PC]- Once an exclusive to the OUYA android console, the addictive party battle game will now actually get played by more than a couple hundred people. No online multiplayer in this one unfortunately.
March 14th
Yoshi's New Island [3DS]- A sequel to the 1995 SNES title Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. If Yoshi is a boy... why does he lay eggs?
March 18th
Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z [PS3/360/PC]- This ain't your daddy's Ninja Gaiden. Cel-shaded ninjas fighting zombies with robotic arms, co-developed by Team Ninja, Spark Unlimited, and Comcept.
Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes [PS3/360/PS4/XBone]- Is it a game or a demo? A $30 game that is reported to only be 2 hours long... leading into Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain in several years. Just enough time for the fans to stop complaining about Keifer-Snake.... ah, who am I kidding?
Final Fantasy X/ X-2: HD Remaster [PS3/VITA]- Return to Spira and play some blitzball... hopefully this will be enough to get the taste of Final Fantasy XIII out of our mouths until XIV.
March 18th
Luftrausers [PC/MAC/LINUX/ PS3/VITA]- The crazy air combat game from the creator of Ridiculous Fishing. The game is currently available at a 10% discount if you pre-order on Steam.
March 20th
Cloudbuilt [PC]- An often overlooked indie game. Couldbuilt is a fast paced third person platformer made possible by Steam Greenlight.
March 21st
inFamous: Second Son [PS4]- Sony's big exclusive and the forth title in the franchise. Tear up Seattle with a variety of superpowers and a fantastic grunge rock soundtrack.
March 25th
Diablo III: Reaper of Souls [PC]- Diablo III has been kind of a mess... besides being an expansion pack, this is also a major overhaul that attempts to make this the proper Diablo game fans had hoped for.
BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma [PS3/Vita]- Many diehard fans have been playing the Japanese version for months, but Chrono Phantasma is finally making its way to the USA. This is the fifth installment of Arc's popular 2D anime fighter. There won't be a 360 version due to disc space limitations.
March 31st
Shovel Knight [3DS/WIIU/PC]- Shoveling its way from Kickstarter and into our hearts. An 8-bit inspired platformer with a ton of charm and a talented team behind the shovel.... shove ware this is not.... enough shovel jokes.
