Michael Thomasson has been in love with video games since he got his first game at the age of 12, which was Cosmic Avenger, a game for the Colecovision console. He didn't actually get the console until a year later, and by then he was determined to start collecting as many video games as possible.

He has now earned the Guinness record for having the largest collection of video games, with 10,607 games. Michael is 31 now, and has been through stages in his life where he had to sell off his entire video game collection, which he obviously managed to get back. There is a two-page spread in the "Guinness World Records 2013 Gamer's Edition" that just came out, and you can read more about Michael and his collection there.

This guy has games on laser disc, cartridge, and even VHS and cassette-based games. Of course, he has the more popular consoles such as the Xbox and PlayStations, but he also has more rare gaming consoles like the Apple Pippin and Casio Loopy.
