We're now mere weeks away from both the launch, and the BETA, of Bethesda's Fallout 76. And according to Major Nelson, the West Virginia based RPG will include Project Greek Island.
For those who didn't major in U.S. History in college, Project Greek Island was a secret government bunker built underneath the Greenbrier Resort. Located in the Blue Ridge mountains, it was commissioned in 1958 by President Dwight E. Eisenhower. It was discovered in 1992 by the Washington Post, where it was decommissioned shortly thereafter.
Xbox head Larry Hyrb, best known by his gamertag Major Nelson, revealed that Project Greek Island will be featured in some capacity in Fallout 76 in the most recent episode of his podcast. He was privy to a special gameplay session of the area, taking place at the real-life Greenbrier Resort.
He couldn't go into much detail beyond that it is, in fact, in the game. Its inclusion makes complete sense, given the nuclear nature of Fallout. But if you want to find out what's hidden inside, you'll have to go look for yourself.
Fallout 76 launches on PC, PS4, and Xbox One on November 14. Those who pre-order the game will be given access to the Break It Early Test Application, taking place on October 23 for Xbox One and 30 for PC and PS4.
