Luigi's Balloon World is Live in Super Mario Odyssey

Super Mario Odyssey players have patiently waited for Luigi, and now he's here in the game's latest update. Announced earlier today is the release of Luigi's Balloon World!

The green brother won't be a playable character, but as the host of his own mini-game: Luigi's Balloon World. This is a new hide-and-seek game mode where players can either hide, or find, a balloon hidden on the map. This new feature is split into 2 modes, Hide It mode and Find It mode. Each mode having its own leaderboard.

In Hide It mode, the player has 40 seconds to hide a balloon somewhere on the map. On the flip side, Find It mode has you find another player's hidden balloon. The more balloons you find, the higher you'll rank on the Balloon leaderboards.

There is a risk to be had, however. When you play Find It mode, you wager towards your success. Based on the difficulty of the balloon you've chosen to find, you will pay a number of coins to look for it. If you successfully find it, you are rewarded with an exponentially larger amount of coins. Skilled balloon seekers can make a hefty sum from this mode, while others are in to lose their savings.

Additionally, 3 new outfits will be added to the game: Sunshine suit, Musician outfit, and Knight's Armor.
