If you're one of the biggest trends on YouTube, it makes sense to try and build a community on Twitch as well. When controversial YouTuber Logan Paul made the jump, he was met with obscene messages and general trolling.

We saw exactly how unhappy the community is with the Pauls when his brother, Jake Paul, played Fortnite on stream with kingpin Twitch partner Summit1G. Their behavior then seems polite compared to Logan's chat, which was flooded with ASCII recreation of male genitalia. One of his producers can be heard on stream remarking on this.

There are so many dicks.

We got spammed so fast.

Logan has stated that once he achieves affiliate status, sub-only mode will be activated in order to promote a more positive chat experience. This will also encourage his following to subscribe, at a $5-a-month fee, to participate in the chat.

While Twitch communities have a history of being rough, this case comes as no surprise. The YouTuber has developed significant criticism, particularly after uploading a video that poked fun at the body of a man who had commit suicide in the suicide forests of Japan. After taking a three-week-long hiatus, he returned to continue with immoral content, such as tasing dead rats.

Logan is one of many people to begin livestreaming Fortnite on Twitch. The game has developed the largest viewership on Twitch, having broken concurrent viewership records when Ninja played with famous rapper Drake.
