Sony's flagship user created content platformer will be making its way to the PlayStation 4. Besides the expected boost in visuals, Sackboy is being joined by 3 new characters- Oddsock, Swoop, and Toggle... each adding a new kind of gameplay element to a 4 player co-op environment.

A point that wasn't pressed on during the Sony conference was that this Little Big Planet title is not being developed by series creator Media Molecule, but rather Sumo Digital... whom have done the more recent entries in the series. This also mean Media Molecule didn't show anything at E3 this year (like they already said on twitter) and perhaps the rumors of them cooking up something cool for Project Morpheus are true afterall.

The other cool little tidbit they touched on is that Little Big Planet 3 is compatible with all the user created content from the first 2 games, giving players an enormous library of content to play with. The game is expected to release next year.
