Listen to the First Ever Live Performance of the Cuphead Soundtrack

It's a toe-tapping good time.

Over the weekend, the folks at Toronto got to enjoy the Kensington Market Jazz Festival, where underground and lesser-known (authentic, as the kids might say) Jazz musicians came together and played their heart and souls out to crowds enjoying the late summer night. There were a lot of performances, but one was a really special performance we want to talk about: the very first live performance of the Cuphead OST, as performed by the original band and composer.

They played for about an hour, covering most of the songs on the OST and all of the good ones. Apparently, a lot of the development team was there as well, so if you happened to be in the crowd it would have been a great time to network.

On top of the stellar art and the frantic gunplay, Cuphead was praised for its soundtrack by fans and critics alike, both for sounding startlingly authentic and for really helping bright the boss fights to life, so it’s unsurprising it would draw such a crowd of people. So if you’re a fan of the game or just a fan of big band-style jazz, then the video is definitely worth a watch or two.
