Well, it's a-coming. A while ago, I have written about how Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII is finally hitting Steam in December after so many delays. Well, it turns out that there is an exact release date for the JRPG: December 10.

Now for some good news and bad news in the form of schemata DLC that will be included. Here is the following list:
  • "Divine Wear"
  • "Moogle Lover"
  • "Ultimate Saviour"
  • "FFX-2 Yuna"
  • "FFVII Cloud"
  • "FFX Yuna"
  • "Tomb Raider"
  • "Shining Prince"
  • "Dark Samurai"
  • "Sohei Savior"
  • "Utsusemi"
  • "Art of War"
  • "Flower of Battle"
  • "Shogun"
Now for the bad news. You will notice that the "Final Fantasy Aerith" schemata isn't even on the list. That's because it is not included in the pack... and probably will never be.

Here's the exact quote:

"The 'FFVII Aerith' schemata is not included in this pack. Furthermore, there are no plans to make this schemata available in [the] future."

Well, now that we have that out of the way... which is probably a little depressing for some players, there are some notes that relate to the Steam version. Here you are:

  • This version of the game has had no changes or additions made to the story of the original Lightning Returns Final Fantasy XIII.
  • The game does not support Dolby Digital sound (boo).
  • This version of the game includes some of the downloadable content released for the original.
  • The bonus items originally awarded for having save data from previous games in the series will be awarded in this version regardless of whether there is suitable save data present or not.
  • Includes no functionality linked to Square Enix Members or social networking sites.
  • It is not possible to change the names assigned to chocobos, map markers, or schemata.

So are you looking forward to it? At the most, I expect the price to be $29.99, but at least I will be finally able to finish the game.
