Something new is coming from the Level-5 development office. At least that's what the studio president Akihiro Hino has to say in a recent group interview.

According to a group interview on Japanese website 4Gamer, the studio is looking to make game development their primary focus in 2021, including the development of a new unannounced game.

While they can't provide any details at the moment, they assure us that development is progressing well.

Level-5 has a strong history of titles over the last 20 years, including various Dragon Quest games, the Professor Layton series, Fantasy Life, and the Yokai-Watch series. Last we heard, they were working on a Japan-only title called “Megaton Musashi.”

Given that this was a Japanese interview, there’s a fair possibility that the game won’t even be released in the west. Either way, we’ll be keeping our eyes on whatever Level-5 has to say over the next year.
