Really putting the DEATH in death match... yeeesh!

Suda 51, the guy you might remember for developing such gems as No More Heroes, Lollipop Chainsaw, and most recently Killer is Dead, has a title coming exclusively to the PlayStation 4. While a lot of his games have taken on American pop culture themes, leading to some Quentin Tarantino moments in video game form... Let it Die seems to be a drastic departure from his usual style.

While the trailer mostly consists of live action footage... the game seems to be some form of gritty arena deathmatch game where you fight to the death with whatever items you can salvage. Rather than the sexy anime babes we're used to seeing in a Suda 51 game, the characters seem very dark and more grounded in reality. Well kind of... a lot of them aren't wearing pants for reasons I don't even want to think about right now.

This is Suda 51 we're talking about here though, the game is sure to be absolutely crazy and probably quite controversial... and in the end likely not going to end up on any critic's "best game" list. Like most of this year's E3, the game will be out next year.
