Team Solo Mid, or more commonly TSM, was the first seed team coming out of North America. They were placed in Group D for the World's Group Stage and are competing for the number one spot against Samsung Galaxy (SSG), Splyce (SPY), and Royal Never Give Up (RNG). TSM's opening match against RNG on September 29th went down in the books as a loss. After having a rough start, people didn't know how they would perform against SSG. They ended up absolutely wiping the floor with them in an 18-1 victory. Their team comp was fairly similar for both games. They kept Kennen top, Lee Sin jungle, and Jhin adc, which left only Bjergsen and Biofrost with different champions.

The second time around, TSM performed much better. They got a grip on the game very early and Bjergsen made some beautiful plays to start the team off strong. After that, it was constant aggressive jungle pressure by Sven that gave TSM a vision advantage and helped control the enemy Elise. SSG never really got their game going, and while TSM could have ended the game earlier than they did, they decided to play it safe and not risk the throw.

Their third game against Splyce was a bit rocky. It was a back and forth for a while, but TSM did start to fall around the halfway point of the game. In the final minutes of the game they pulled themselves back together, got a slight gold advantage, and waited for SPY to make a mistake. While SPY was focusing all of their attention on a Baron respawn, Hauntzer was able to backdoor Splyce's final top turret. A sloppy engage by SPY gave TSM two huge kills and they steamrolled the base for the win.

More coverage of the teams will be coming after Group Stage is over and the competition has been narrowed down a bit. Who do you want to take home the trophy this year at Worlds 2016?
