"As the game continued to take shape, we realized free-to-play wasn't the right fit for what we're building. LawBreakers is a competitive game at heart and that means balance is a big priority to me, my team, and our community. Using a digital premium model helps ensure an even playing field by giving fans access to every available role without any barriers."
Additionally, LawBreakers now has a new art style, which looks darker than what the original trailer showed. Not only that, but there's a new logo, which was revealed at the GDC. Still, there is no word on a release date, but it will be heading exclusively to Steam.
So how will it stand out from games like Battleborn and Overwatch? Well, that's a good question, but there's the R-rating and gravity-based gameplay to look forward to.
You can look forward to more about LawBreakers at PAX East in April. In the meantime, you can check out the new artwork on Polygon.
