Cliff Bleszinski's new multiplayer shooter LawBreakers is taking its next big step towards release by launching the closed beta later this month.  Developer Boss Key productions announced that the closed beta will begin on March 16th and run through until the 19th.  Lawbreakers is also set to debut at PAX East, showing off new maps, new roles and more.  Bleszinski claimed that the game is very different from its alpha state, explaining that "It's not the same game, though" and that the closed beta will feature "all sorts of new stuff".

"The team's been very, very hard at work. We think you're going to enjoy the new roles, the new characters, and all the new featuresnew weapons in particular."

LawBreakers is a team-based shooter that features various characters with completely unique abilities and roles.  Similar to Overwatch, each character serves a specific role such as support or assault.  While it does sound similar to the "Hero Shooter" genre, LawBreakers brings a lot of originality and inventiveness to the table.  Between the unique game modes and character abilities, the maps also have anti-gravity areas, which make for some incredibly fast paced and intense battles.
