Konami is still in the video game business, believe it or not. Even though the company has redirected most of their efforts towards pachinko machines, they still have time to release a new Castlevania iteration.

Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls is an upcoming iOS game, according to Konami. The title will include many popular characters from the series and will have an additional focus on competitive and cooperative multiplayer gameplay. According to the game's official website, it will feature real-time multiplayer action, including a four-person boss rush, and a four against four competitive mode.

Classic characters will make an appearance, such as Simon Belmont, Alucard, Charlotte Aulin, Shanoa and Maria Renard. This will also be the introduction of Genya Arikado, a government agent, and Lucy, the young scientist and Dracula hunter.

No release date for the mobile game has been announced. Interested individuals in Japan can sign up for a closed beta on Konami's website. Everywhere else will have to wait.
