Now it's Kingdom Hearts' turn. Kingdoms Hearts will begin its own concert tour this summer beginning in August, according to Square Enix. Fans all over the world will be able to attend this event. The first concert, titled Kingdom Hearts Concert -First Breath-, will rightfully be held in these Japanese cities: Tokyo, Aichi, and Osaka. The tickets are now available for purchasing.
As for when worldwide fans will be able to experience Kingdom Hearts Concert -World Tour-? Well, unfortunately that won't be beginning for almost another year, in March of 2017. Like Distant Worlds, professional orchestras will play the tracks as HD footage plays from behind. However, KH director Tetsuya Nomura actually compiled the HD footage.
So why so late for a world tour anyway? Well, there is a reason behind that. Next year will be the 15th anniversary of Kingdom Hearts, which began on the PlayStation 2 in 2001 in Japan and 2002 in North America. It's also important to keep in mind that the world tour will begin soon after the release date of Kingdom Hearts 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, so the concerts should be "sufficient" in satiating fans' cravings for the upcoming Kingdom Hearts 3. The symphony will be making an appearing in spring 2017 in New York, London, and Los Angeles. Tickets for several international shows go on pre-sale at 12 p.m. local time and will open to the general public May 14. Here are the dates of the international concerts:
- March 10, 2017: Tokyo, Japan (Tokyo International Forum A)
- March 18-19: Paris, France (Salle Pleyel)
- March 24-25: London, England (Central Hall Westminster)
