The upcoming Disney/Square Enix RPG, Kingdom Hearts 3, will be about 5GB larger on PS4 than Xbox One. This was revealed when the disc case for the game was leaked online.
A little while back, it was revealed that Kingdom Hearts 3 would be about 35.8 GB on the Xbox One. Understandably, everyone assumed it would be the same on the PlayStation 4. As it turns out, that's not true. The PS4 version is larger, at a set 40 GB.
The imagery of the PS4 game case, in Japanese, has been circulating online. On the back, it lists the 40GB file size. Given the supposed 80 hour playtime, this isn't that bad. Since this is leaked information and not an official report by the developers, the reason for the 5GB difference is unknown. It's possible that the PS4 has exclusive content, that the PS4 Pro can handle higher resolution textures/models, or perhaps Xbox One supports more efficient compression formats.
If there is any difference between the two consoles, we will know on January 25, when the game releases in Japan. EU and US players will have to wait until January 29 to find out for themselves.
