Killer Instinct: Season 2 has a launch date on Xbox One.

Season 2 will be available in full on October 15th and will come at similar price points as the first season did when it launched alongside the Xbox One last November (although not for free like some lucky Xbox One owners acquired it for). Killer Instinct is still a free "demo" of sorts, but purchasing the $39.99 Ultra Edition will add eight new fighters to the roster, including the already revealed returning veterans TJ Combo and Maya, a few costume and accessory packs and a port of the 1996 Killer Instinct 2.

If you'd rather purchase individual characters, you can still do so for $5 a piece.

If you pre-order Killer Instinct Season 2 between September 23rd and October 14th, you'll get both Killer Instinct 2 and TJ Combo for Killer Instinct on Xbox One immediately and can access the rest of Season 2's content when it launches on October 15th.

If you don't need all the extras and only want to add new characters to your roster, you can buy the Combo Breaker edition for $19.99 that contains all eight of the new fighters and none of the other bonus content.
