I wonder how many times this kid told his parents, "One-day Anime will save me."  If I was this kid's parents, I would be crazy proud.  Anybody who's watched Dragon Ball Z has at wished they could go Super Saiyan at least once.  This eleven-year-old boy did more than wish he could be Super Saiyan.  He might be one of the few to actually channel his Dragon Ball powers.  He survived an insane 400 bee stings, and still survived.  Although doctors most likely have a different outlook on the situation, the boy claims that he survived by channeling Vegeta.

This isn't the first time that somebody has tried the seemingly impossible by channeling their favorite Dragon Ball Z character:

While clearly, the kid above wasn't successful, maybe it was because he needed to train himself in a more harsh environment.  Like surrounded by angry bees, perhaps?  In all seriousness, Andrew Kunz, or the real life Vegeta if you will, is actually very lucky to be alive.  I'd like to think that his trust in Dragon Ball Z, and Vegeta got him through this terrible ordeal, but who knows.  Maybe the bee's sensed his power and decided to get out before it was too late? Probably not, but this kid definitely deserves a bad-ass award.

The bee attack started after Andrew and his friend decided to shoot their BB gun's at an old rusty car.  Unfortunately for them, a colony of bees laid inside the car, and they weren't too pleased with the sound of metal pellets bouncing off of their home.  After Andrew realized he was in a pretty dangerous situation, all he could think to do was to use "Full Force Power", his favorite power up from Dragon Ball Z.  Who's to say what could have happened without his extensive knowledge of the anime.

"I'm Andrew, but you can call me Vegeta" the boy told a reporter.  I mean, if we're being real here, obviously the kid had a little too much faith in a fictional show, but hey, have you survived 400 stings from a raging bee army? I didn't think so.  The kid definitely deserves some respect and credit, although his parents might want to teach him some new survival tactics for the future.  Running is usually a good one.  Then again, he wouldn't have gotten onto the news if he did that.

Luckily, WJDB Radio reports that Andrew is recovery well, and he should be able to go back to school soon.  Hopefully, kids can learn from Andrew.  Anime might actually help you one day.  Don't hold me to that though.
