Keen, by Cat Nigiri, is a combo puzzle/action game. It combines attacks with sliding movements to both solve each area's brain teaser and wipe out your adversaries. To celebrate its recent success on Steam Greenlight, a new demo is available for download on their website. For those of you who think demos are for suckers, then there's also a nice gameplay trailer on YouTube.

I'm making that logo my desktop background.

For those of you who think trailers are for suckers too, it's a pretty interesting concept. The game, not your hatred of both demos and trailers. That's weird. By having turn-based actions control movements and attacks, players are forced to plan ahead. Gamers can probably fly by the seat of their pants in the early levels. By the end, though, I can see this formula leading to some pretty challenging puzzles. And the samurai style is pretty sweet too.
