John Smedley Leaves Daybreak Games, Pursues New Opportunity

Is this all because of Zeekill?

Previously, it was officially announced that John Smedley, of Daybreak Games, stepped down from his position as CEO of the company, which more-than-likely related to the harassment of Julius "Zeekill" Kivimaki of The Lizard Squad, followed by a quite light sentencing--the equivalent to a slap on the wrist.

But now, Smedley is no longer part of the company. Unfortunately, Daybreak did not provide explanation for the action, but we can assume it does relate to Zeekill, as Smedley wanted to bring justice to the 17-year-old. However, this does not mean that he is taking a break from work altogether. Oh no. In fact and according to Facebook, he is taking over as CEO of a different company in San Diego, but what company could that be? Reading the post, we will know soon, but let's hope that Smedley will no longer be trailed by nightmares.

Still, after working two decades for Daybreak, it's rather odd to see him leave. Best of luck with his future endeavors.
