It's finally happening this year! Japan Independent Games Aggregate (JIGA) announced earlier today that Japan's leading indie game festival, BitSummit, will return to Kyoto in 2016. BitSummit 4th (Force) will this year be taking place at the Miyako Messe Kyoto International Exhibition Hall on July 9 and 10. This year's theme will be revolving around manga culture, and B-Force, a superhero team which inspired by the fourth BitSummit naming, will be making its appearance, replacing BitKing, BitRiders, and BitCruiser.

During last year's BitSummit, thousands of attendees dove on into 80 indie titles from not only Japan, but also from around the world. Because of such heavy success, this year aims to do the same. This year, JIGA is once again partnering with Indie Megabooth and the Kyoto Prefecture Department of Commerce Labor and Tourism to provide support for this year's operations.

For those interested, submissions are currently being accepted. Last year, almost 200 Japanese and International entries were submitted, making it probably a little difficult when needing to select 80 showcases. The BitSummit committee can be contacted via Twitter, Facebook, or email at "contact@bitsummit.org."

Currently, there are no other details such as times and fees, but hopefully they'll surface soon enough. In the meantime, you can check out the 2016 FAQ right here, and if you're a developer interested, you can submit your entry here.
