NieR: Automata is receiving a lot of love from both Square Enix and fans of the series. People are absolutely hyped for the title, which arrives in March in North America, but Japan has cranked up the hype one step further. Square Enix will apparently be officially announcing a NieR: Automata-themed PlayStation 4 model exclusively for Japan next week. This was teased during a live stream show this morning.
The top cover of the PlayStation 4 model will feature everyone's favorite "blind" boy, Emil. The company has also provided a sneak peek at NieR: Automata's Monster Hunter Frontier Z collaboration, which will provide players with all sorts of in-game items for both Monster Hunter Frontier Z and NieR: Automata.
Finally, SE revealed 12 minutes of gameplay from the prototype version of NieR: Automata, which was titled "NieR: Androids."
You can watch right here, between 5:47 and 18:20.
NieR: Automata will see a Japanese release on February 23, a North American release on March 7, and a European release on March 10. A PC release is still in the works. If you haven't played the demo, I suggest you do so now.
