Big name alcohol company Jägermeister has announced their very own video game development initiative: the Track and Build competition.

Announced today, the German drink brand has partnered with music duo Koven to host a contest/raffle. Indie developers with a 2019 game release can enter for a chance to have an exclusive track for their game by the London-based dance/electronic duo Max Rowat and Katie Boyle.

Jägermeister's music manager Tom Carson spoke about the opportunity.

"We're incredibly excited about the Track and Build competition, as it represents our first steps into the games sector. Thanks to our friends at Koven, we can offer a games studio the unique opportunity to have a track created for them by artists who have already made a name for themselves in the genre through their work on Rocket League.
. . .
This is such a mad and exciting opportunity for us to be a part of, and for anyone who we end up working with! We are so pleased to be involved and look forward to going through the entries."

Details regarding the contest are unclear at this time. Jägermeister will release further information in the near future. This will be Koven's third time in the video game industry, having produced music for Driveclub and Rocket League previously.

They're accepting submissions by any and all developers that are planning to release a game in 2019. Submissions close on February 15. For more information on how to enter, visit the official website.
