So Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate has been out for a while now, and while it’s not as bad as Unity, it’s still hardly a comeback for the now aging franchise, which has gone quite a while without a much-needed shot of ingenuity. Still, it’s got some stuff going for it, including an upcoming DLC that pits Evie Fry against the most notorious killer in England’s history, Jack the Ripper.

Here’s a new trailer, which gives you a taste of the plot. Spoiler: It looks like Jack and Evie are familiar with one another.  Evil twins, perha- oh, wait, right.   Triplets, maybe?

Help Evie Frye stop the most notorious of serial killers, Jack the Ripper. This all new campaign is available as part of the Assassin’s Creed Syndicate Season Pass on December 15.

Pretty cool trailer… and a pretty big reimagining of the Jack the Ripper story. From Hell, this ain’t. Still, it’s kind of hard to take it seriously, all these people accusing Jack of being a soulless monster, when you yourself have killed far more than Jack ever had.

I guess that’s okay as long as you’re the protagonist.
