But will Capcom let them?

Since its launch late January, Monster Hunter: World has grown to be one of Capcom's greatest successes. It will surely make the news once again when it is released for PC later this year. Unfortunately, the company has stated that it won't be coming to Nintendo Switch, but one studio is offering to do it anyway.

Adam Boyes, CEO of Iron Galaxy Studios, recently expressed an interest in bringing Monster Hunter World to Switch on Twitter.

"Dear @monsterhunter team at Capcom - we understand that porting the game to Nintendo Switch is challenging . . . but this is exactly what @IToTheG does. Give us a shot & we wont let you down ;)"

Boyes' claims are accurate, as well. Iron Galaxy Studios is responsible for porting The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim to the Switch. Monster Hunter: World was designed specifically for consoles, however. So converting the game would be a greater challenge. Boyes seems confident in the studio's abilities all the same.

Having started playing the Monster Hunter games with 3U on the 3DS, it will always hold a portable place in my heart. I would love to see the game come to the Switch. It would be even better if it supported local connections. You could easily gather a few friends to go on hunts together.

The ball is in Capcom's hand now.
