Well, fans of Halo's multiplayer mode Invasion, prepare to be disappointed. Invasion, the 6v6 combat mode that first appeared in Halo Reach, will not appear in the upcoming title Halo 5: Guardians, confirmed by 343 Studios Head Josh Holmes.

The good news, however, is that there will be other large-scale multiplayer events planned. To quote the confirmation, which was on the Team Beyond forums:

"No Invasion but more to come on larger scale MP. Stay tuned."

Yes, more than one event is planned. There plans to be a new mode that has not been revealed yet alongside the new Breakout mode. In Breakout mode, two teams of four fight on special maps with only one life each.

Additionally, we will see a new progression and unlock system for Halo 5, and Holmes has stated that the Campaign and Multiplayer have been designed around the Spartan Abilties. So, something to look forward to.

So despite the loss of a multiplayer map, there is still plenty for fans to sink their teeth into.
