Even if you're not a fan, look at them anyway.

Art can be so captivating, no matter the genre. Video game art is not new, but there are creations, both official and unofficial, that are created with a variety of mediums: sculpture, print, glass, and plain old pen and paper. Some are beautiful, but some are also incredibly fun to observe.

I admit to being a fan of minimalist art, but even these images I have stumbled upon would tickle eyes with pleasure. SilenceCorp, a French artist, has released a gallery of minimalist digital art designed poster-style that references well known video games with well written subtitles. The particular gallery is called "Gaming Room," and features games such as: The Legend of Zelda, Assassin's Creed, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Portal, Dark Souls, Dishonored, Bioshock Infinite, Minecraft, Fable, Batman, The Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Final Fantasy VII, Metal Gear Solid, Halo, Left 4 Dead, and The Witcher. You can view all of the images on their Behance page.

The subtitle for Left 4 Dead is best. It reads, "I can hear a witch crying." So true, because witches are highly fear-and-panic-inducing. Next thing you know, I'm screaming and shooting at my friends.

The posters are well designed, shaded to give a enigmatic, worn appearance. Though detail is minimal (hence, minimalist), the poster is pleasantly busy for the eye. For example, in the poster of The Legend of Zelda, we can see the Kingdom of Hyrule in the background, with a certain "HEY" fairy and Link playing his ocarina in a field.

Of course, it can't help to but view the other galleries. Both The Elder Scrolls' "Alduin, the World Eater" and Destiny's "Choose Your Class" pieces are very detailed and beautiful. It must have taken a large amount of hours to finish this. If you are interested in buying the Final Fantasy VII print or The Elder Scrolls print, you can buy them here.
