Ian Milham Is the New Game Director of Tomb Raider

A fitting addition to be sure.

Tomb Raider has become a classic franchise over the years. Hell, Lara Croft is as close to a mascot Sony ever had (besides maybe Crash Bandicoot). It makes sense that a veteran with years of experience has the lead of the game's future. Especially since the series has not only rebooted, but is still making new content even now.

The franchise is older than she is.

Earlier, Crystal Dynamics announced that Ian Milham has taken the role of Game Director for the legendary franchise. Milham's addition to the team makes a lot of sense. His most recent and notable accomplishments have been as the Art Director for the Dead Space games. There are already a lot of similarities between the two franchises, it should be easy for Milham to slip into his new position for Tomb Raider. But if the next game in the series takes Lara to space, then we know who to blame.
