We all have fears; there's no denying that. Many of us don't face our fears, instead avoiding them for most - if not all - of our lifespans.

Yet, one little girl sets off to prove that fears are only an obstacle to be trampled on, given the confidence and strength. HUSH, an upcoming Kickstarter project developed by Game Studio 78, is a game that draws inspiration from fears that children often have.

Oh, and Alice: Madness Returns.

The story revolves around Ashlyn, a young girl who finds herself in a lone orphanage filled to the brim with phobias that attempt to drag her into perpetual darkness. During the course of the game, Ashlyn encounters inhabitants of the orphanage, The Forgotten, who reflect on their demise and guide Ashlyn through the haunted home.

As for gameplay, HUSH is an action adventure game with a focus on plot and characterization. Puzzles, monsters, and other roadblocks will be encountered. In a unique fashion, each monster will have different attack and movement patterns, which are all dependent on chapter and personality.

According to the Kickstarter page:

"The combat system is fast, broad and intuitive, the puzzles are challenging and there are several places to explore... you'll spend plenty of time unveiling secrets."

Ashlyn will have a companion at her side, GoGo, to help her combat the enemies. Strategy will eventually become essential to conquer battles, and the player will be provided with a myriad of playstyle options.

If funded, HUSH will be available later this year for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Steam for Windows, Mac, and Linux, and Wii U.

So if you're interested in supporting Game Studio 78 in their endeavor to bring the best possible experience to HUSH, you can visit their Kickstarter page. Goodies for pledges can include Beta Testing, Early Access, T-Shirts, Plush Toys, and more!

Currently, there are 17 backers who have pledged $246 of a $146,795 goal. A bit of a stretch, but given that there are 27 days to go, I'm sure the studio will be successful.
