When you look for video games that emulate otherwise uninteresting day jobs, plenty of different games come to mind. But one that always makes that list is House Flipper, the popular indie home improvement game by Empyrean Games. But it may soon be replaced. The developers have officially announced House Flipper 2!
The official House Flipper Twitter account posted on their timeline, revealing plans for a House Flipper sequel. The tweet came with an announcement trailer, showing a first person perspective of the presumed player. A pre-rendered cutscene shows them taking a phone call about a woman wanting some home improvement work done. It ends with a rough release date of 2023.
Teasing for this announcement began two days ago, on 2/22/22, when they revealed a two-day-long countdown. Given the context, it makes sense that it would lead to the reveal of a second game.
Development toward the original house flipper hasnt stopped, however. The game has seen numerous DLC releases. Its even expecting to release another DLC in May, focusing on pets.
Its always cool to see an indie game see success like this. We look forward to seeing what kind of new changes will be in House Flipper 2. Until then, the first game can be found on PC and consoles for about $20 (not including DLC).
