Hot Pockets Snack Bites Commercial Shows the Best Way to Game with Virtual Reality

I'd be more worried about the grease, overall.

We all know that the advent of virtual reality is just around the corner. We are hearing about it a lot more, and a lot of companies are picking up on the potential boom. Even Mattel's View-Master has been upgraded for the VR generation.

With VR becoming a big deal, there are lots of markets that take advantage of the new technology.

Even food marketing. Hot Pockets have been the go-to for many a gamer, so it's kind of natural for Hot Pockets to utilize gaming for its marketing campaign of the new Hot Pockets Snack Bites. Though released just a few weeks ago, the brand tackled (literally, as evident in the commercial) a combination of Hot Pockets, Shooters, Virtual Reality, and Uggs within a pretty odd commercial.

Yes, the Ugg boot.

This commercial is pretty cheesy (I went there), revealing three guy in the midst of a shooting session. This commercial makes a couple assumptions based on the future of VR:
  • You do not have to worry about removing your goggles when reaching for something. In the world of VR, you won't face the hazards of running into a counter or over your dog in an attempt to grab those delicious snack bites from the microwave.
  • You risk destroying your house by tackling people to save their lives in a game.
  • VR will rapidly reach the point of integrating with your physical body, allowing your entire body to play without the need of special boots or gloves.
  • Uggs are the best defense for your shins when you're being tackled over furniture.
Let's roll the commercial to see what you can make of it:

No matter how you look at it, you would think those are too greasy for controllers of any type.
