Poor kid...

Homefront: The Revolution, is not dead. Though it has once crawled underneath the eyes of the news world, it has resurfaced in time for Gamescom's celebration. Today, the official Homefront: The Revolution 'Thank You' Trailer has been unveiled to the world, a rather sad trailer that details the oppression of the Korean People's Army. The Deep Silver-acquired action game begins a few years after the original title, where the Korean People's Army has controlled a good portion of the US. Taking place in Pittsburgh, rebel Jack Parish leads a force against the army in hopes to take back his home. The trailer itself details a kid forced to speak in front of Korean leaders, detestably reading from a prompt about how the Korean People's Army has basically saved the United States, that the United States is grateful of KPA's arrival. In the midst of the speech, elsewhere, Americans are abused, kicked around, and shot by soldiers. Yet over the horizon is a glimmer of hope. The rebels strike against these soldiers, and in the end, Jack destroys a building with a phone-dialed explosive.

Intense, if I do say so myself.

Here's the full trailer for your eyes:

Additionally, Microsoft and Deep Silver unveiled some single-player gameplay footage, which is sadly only 2:35 minutes long:

The gameplay footage of driving a motorcycle in first-person is pretty awesome, especially when going over ramps. There seems to be a lot of toys at your disposal, with a variety of attachments for full customization.

Unfortunately, the environments seem to be rather empty, not at all promising what was previously mentioned, which can be found in our preview of the game. The streets were originally promised to be littered with those oppressed and frightened, which impacted your actions and consequences. Hopefully the demo's not the full representation of the game and its environments, and hopefully this game will remain open world... but lately, previews of games become way too ambitious for the end product. Nevertheless, there will be a beta for this game, but the beta will be limited to the Xbox One only. The multiplayer beta will be available in the winter of 2016.

Well now, this game will be in development for a little while longer...
