IO Interactive (IOI) became a fully independent studio a while back. When the studio initiated a number of layoffs, fans were concerned for the future of the studio, as well as its most famous intellectual property: Hitman. Fans were eventually reassured when in October a large update was released that added new content to the most recent Hitman game.

IOI has announced a Hitman: Game of The Year Edition will be coming out on November 7, 2017 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. This edition will include the following:
  • The Complete First Season
  • New Patient Zero Campaign
  • Raven suit and themed weapons
  • Clown suit and themed weapons
  • Cowboy suit and themed weapons
  • New Escalation Contracts
If you do not own a copy of Hitman, you can find the GOTY Edition digitally for $60 via your relevant market. If you already own a copy of Hitman, you can get the GOTY as a DLC expansion for only $20 dollars. This expansion contains all of the differences between the vanilla and GOTY version.

There will also be a free game update for existing and new players releasing on November 7. This update contains the following changes:
  • A redesigned UI with a new color scheme and visual style
  • New Contracts Mode features
  • Major lighting improvements to all missions
  • Commemorative Elusive Target Unlock
  • Xbox One X Enhancements
  • Tobii Eye Tracking support for PC
  • Various fixes and improvements
  • Elusive Target Re-activation
It's great to see IOI doing well as an independent studio, and the clown outfit looks hilariously entertaining to play in. For full details about the Game of The Year Edition and the free update alongside it, visit the announcement made on the IOI site.
