The latest Hitman game took a slightly bold, slightly new approach by becoming an episodic series, where players could purchase individual missions to experience the story and many assassinations of everyone’s favorite Agent, 47. It was a controversial choice, but it makes sense: after all, the games have always been ‘episodic,' and since the pricing was fair and Square Enix offered special bounties on certain maps to give them replayability between episodes, most people agree that this experiment was a success.
But if you’re the type who enjoys gaming all in one go, Square Enix has got what you’re looking for: they’re about to release the anthology of all the episodes, called Hitman 101, that will allow you to play through everything from beginning to end, with no waiting in-between.
Check out the trailer:
It’ll launch as a disk come January 31st, with every episode, plus three bonus missions from the summer bonus episode, the game’s soundtrack, the Requiem Blood Money Pack, and a making-of documentary. Additionally, the game will continue to get elusive targets, so you can continue to challenge yourself in new, unique ways.
A pretty sweet deal, I must say, and always refreshing when a company gets it right.
