Hideo Kojima is now hard at work at his humbly-named studio Kojima Productions, as he partnered up with Sony to make a new, exciting project. Unfortunately, no one except himself and those close to him seem to know much about what this project is right now, so, the folks over at GameSpot, during this years DICE conference, caught up with the mastermind behind Metal Gear Solid to ask him about his future plans for his studio.

What did we learn? Not that much. You can check out the interview itself here, but here are some highlights--Kojima said this new game would be a limited release for the PS4, meaning it would later become available to other consoles/PC. He also said, when asked if the game would have a heavier focus on narrative or gameplay

"Both, because people expect both from me. "I want to do something that gives a lot of freedom and interactivity. Like I did in the past, I want to make something that has a very strong, dramatic story. That's what people want from me and that's what I want to do. It would be so much easier if I could give priority to one or the other, but people expect both from me. At this point, it would be easier to make a linear game, but that's not It's risky, because we're just starting up, so it probably would be better to go with something smaller-scale, maybe linear, but Sony is supporting us to make a big game that's edgy with a strong story that gives the player a lot of freedom, with new elements, and I don't know if that's possible. But we'll see."

Edgy, eh? Well, sure, coming from him Im willing to believe all that. Sony, unlike with other developers, has no reason not to open the coffers for Kojima, who has proven to be a moneymaker time and time again. So the fact that theyre small should really only affect their development times, rather than the scope of the project.

Heres hoping it has something to do with PT
