Recently, Hideo Kojima has revealed a little bit more about his new game Death Stranding. As I'm sure you all know, Norman Reedus is playing the main character and his movements are being tracked for the game's production. When asked about this, Kojima believes that capturing an real Hollywood actor's movements makes everything look more genuine.
If he were to work with just CG, all of the movements and animations would be precise and perfect. That's not realistic and actually makes the game seem more like a fantasy. By capturing the true movements, mistakes, and characteristics of the actor, the game becomes something more.
Kojima also talked about the portrayal of Reedus in the game's trailer. He is seen naked on the beach and it left many people confused. This was the intent, and he said we can look forward to seeing Reedus wearing different clothing and equipment in future trailers. He wanted the world to see a naked Reedus in his first trailer and can now pursue different looks for Reedus to give viewers new ideas and perspectives on Death Stranding. While there's still a ton of secrets and mystery behind this game, even the smallest updates are worth talking about!
