Blizzard Entertainment's newest game, Heroes of the Storm, is finally getting a launch date. The MOBA was once restricted to only tournament players (i.e. Heroes of the Dorm), but now, Blizzard will be releasing the game on June 2nd, 2015. Though it's currently in closed Beta, the open Beta will begin on May 19th and last until release day.

Expect Blizzard to launch a live-stream celebration party for Heroes of the Storm on June 1st in London. In the launch of Heroes of the Storm, we can look forward to the following features:
  • More than 30 playable characters
  • Over 130 Skins
  • 14 Mounts
  • 7 Dynamic Battlegrounds
Of course, that's just on launch. Blizzard plans to throw more Heroes, mounts, and skins your way post-launch. Do you believe Blizzard will succeed with this MOBA? After the success with Hearthstone, I have no doubts that they will indeed succeed.

P.S. The trailer is rockin'.
