To play video games for a living was a dream thought impossible. In reality, it meant testing for bugs or conducting a six-page analysis for the eyes of an audience.

Well, the "modern" age is proving to society that strictly playing video games as a job description is very real. Game-streaming has wedged its way into the work industry, professional eSports are emerging, and now several colleges have accepted gaming as a potential career path, going so far as to support gamers through distribution of gaming scholarships.

A couple days ago, Blizzard Entertainment and TeSPA have announced the competition Heroes of the Dorm - a tournament dedicated to Heroes of the Storm, an up-and-coming MOBA, with opportunities for a free (or almost free) ride to college.

Heroes of the Dorm is available to not just undergraduate students but graduate students as well all across North America. As a prize, every member of the winning team will receive up to $25,000 per year to use towards tution or paying off student debt. Additionally, members will also receive incredible PC parts such as the Intel i7-4790K CPU, GIGABYTE GA-Z97X-Gaming 7 Motherboard, GTX 960 GPU, and more.

The tournament begins on March 28th and will host three rounds - the open qualifiers, the single-elimination bracket play (64 rounds) on April 11th, and The Heroic Four live event in late April. The tournament will also be broadcast on ESPN3.

Even if you're not a student, you can win a sweet prize like $10,000 by making perfect predictions for the Fantasy Brackets beginning April 3rd. For more information, you can refer to the website.
