Another major update has made it's way to No Man's Sky. Though this time, it takes us down below. In The Abyss update, developers Hello Games revamp and revitalize the underwater worlds of the space-faring game.

Since the Next Update, which added "true multiplayer," the No Man's Sky community has seen a number of smaller updates. This added things like new cosmetics, community events, and so on. Now Hello Games has launched their next major update, The Abyss.

The Abyss includes five new underwater biomes. Prior to this, all underwater environments were largely the same, regardless of the planet's biome. With new life, new structures, and even an underwater vehicle called the Nautilon, players now have a reason to take a dive.

We wanted to focus on improving underwater. and also on some of the eerier elements of the game for Halloween. Oceans were always vast in size in No Mans Sky, but are now a huge, deep part of our gameplay.

More than exploration, players will also be able to build an underwater base. Special parts, used exclusively underwater, can now be construction, including tubular hallways and a multistory submersible view dome.

On the less interesting side, this update also includes some mechanical improvements. This includes improved underwater movement. The update is available now for PC, Xbox One and PC. If you haven't purchased the game already, check your preferred market, it should be on sale for 50% off.
