Hearthstone Releases New Single Player Mode Monster Hunt

It's much spookier than the last.

Following the last expansion's single-player mode, Dungeon Run, Hearthstone's new expansion, The Witchwood, is coming with its own flavor of that same mode. Monster Hunt is now available to all Hearthstone players and is a neat twist on the last single player mode we received. This time around, players will get to choose between four unique characters that are only playable in Monster Hunt, each with their own unique hero ability.

There is the Tracker, Tess Graymane, whose power lets you discover a spell you have used that game. Then there is the Cannoneer, Darius Crowley, who can fire his cannons onto the board; if a minion is killed, he can reload and use his power again. Houndmaster Shaw can use his hero power to give his prized mutts, Princess, Butch, and Bubba, the rush ability. Lastly, there is Time Tinker Toki, who can choose to start her turn over if the player so chooses.

After defeating seven random monsters throughout your hunt, each hero has to face their unique nemesis. For Tess, she faces Captain Shivers, who will give you quite a bother with his weapon deck. Darius must face Lord Godfrey, who can use his pistol barrage ability to deal two damage to a minion and those adjacent to it. Mister Shaw must face off against Glinda Crowskin, whose passive ability allows her to be immune while minions are on the board. Lastly is Infinite Toki, who is actually Toki from the future who can give her minions "Mega-Windfury," although they will perish at the end of her turn.

After the player has defeated all four of these special bosses, they will have the chance to go up against Hagatha the Witch. In classic Hearthstone fashion, she has some unique OP cards and 100 health while her hero power is exactly like the hero card played in game, for whenever she plays a minion, she obtains a random shaman spell. If you do defeat Hagatha, you will receive the Monster Hunt card back and bragging rights over all the other hunters.
