It has taken awhile, but Xbox finally has a competitive answer to PlayStation Now.

Today, Phil Spencer has revealed Xbox Game Pass, a new subscription service which provides customers with unlimited access to a grand library of both Xbox One and Xbox 360 games.

While this won't launch until spring, Spencer provides the public with the following tempting highlights of the service:
  • You will receive unlimited access to over 100 Xbox One and backward compatible Xbox 360 games
  • The price is set at $9.99 per month
  • Games included are from top publishers like 2K, 505 Games, Bandai Namco, Capcom, Codemasters, Deep Silver, Focus Home Interactive, SEGA, SNK Corporation, THQ Nordic GmbH, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, and Microsoft Studios
  • Expect games such as Halo 5: Guardians, Payday 2, NBA 2K16, and SoulCalibur II
  • You are able to download the full titles directly on your Xbox One, which means streaming and, furthermore, no lag
  • All Xbox One games and its add-ons in the catalog will be available for purchase at a discount for Xbox Game Pass members
  • Unfortunately, while new months will bring new games, other games may be cycled out
  • Xbox Game Pass will be tested with select members of the Xbox Insider Program in the Alpha Preview ring starting today; the titles will be limited in number
  • Xbox Live Gold Members will have exclusive access to Xbox Game Pass before anyone else
  • This is only available to the Xbox One
This is competitive, being half off the PlayStation Now subscription price, and we're hoping to see some interesting games join the lineup in the future.

Just when I traded in my Xbox One for a PlayStation 4 Pro...

Still, no regrets here.
