He-Man Fights Superman in Upcoming Injustice Spin-off

Injustice, the fighting games developed by NeatherRealm, is based on a comic book series of the same name and premise. Watching superheroes bashing each other to a pulp has been a weirdly satisfying expirience. While the video game remains unchanged, the comic book is about to get weirder. Soon, He-Man, Teela, Orko, and Battlecat will be fighting off against Superman in "Injustice vs. He-Man and the Masters of the Universe."

DC gives us the official story synapsis.

Believing He-Man and the Masters of the Universe defeated, a robotic impostor has seized control of Eterniabut not for long! After freeing his kingdom from this strongmans rule, He-Man learns not everyone is pleased to see the pretender deposedbut Adam knows the value of freedom. When heroes from another dimension ask his aid in deposing a superhero turned dictator, he agrees. Teaming up with Batman against the Superman of the Injustice Universe, He-Man and his new allies face dangerous and familiar enemies in a battle where no world is safe!

Written by Tim Seeley, the mind behind Nightwing and Green Lanterns, and animated by DC/Mattel illistrator Freddie E. WIlliams II, Injustice vs. He-Man and the Masters of the Universe will be released on July 18.

No word by DC, NeatherRealm, or Warner Bros on whether we can expect to see He-Man as a playable character in the Injustice 2 video game.
