Havok, the leading provider of video game technology with the brilliantly edgy logo, has distributed praise to the winners of the 2015 Design, Innovate, Communicate, Entertain (D.I.C.E.) Awards, with special congratulations granted to the top games Destiny, Super Smash Bros. Wii U, and Mario Kart 8.

The awards, held on February 5th, 2015, were given to winners that represent what an AAA, ambitious game should be.

The following D.I.C.E. Award winners received congratulations:

Destiny (Activision) – for Outstanding Achievement in Online, Music Composition, Sound Design, and Action Game of the Year

Dragon Age: Inquisition (Electronic Arts) – for RPG/MMO Game of the Year, Game of the Year

Mario Kart 8 (Nintendo of America) – for Racing Game of the Year

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor (Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment) – for Adventure Game of the Year, Outstanding Achievement in Animation, Technical Achievement, Narrative, Character, Innovation in Gaming, Game Design and Game Direction

Super Smash Bros. Wii U (Nintendo of America) – for Fighting Game of the Year

Impressive how there are two Nintendo games that have won D.I.C.E. Awards. However, I am surprised that Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor has not received Game of the Year for the amount of awards it has received. This is not the first award that these games have received. In fact, not long ago, all of these games have won an award at The Game Awards 2014.

In regards to the awards, Brian Waddle, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, states:

The team at Havok is honored to work with the world’s best AAA game developers, and we’re incredibly proud to see the work of some of our partners so richly rewarded at D.I.C.E. Studios who produce games such as these stand at the cutting edge of gaming and it is great to see the industry acknowledge this direction. We look forward to meeting with friends both old and new at GDC to chart the path for future AAA success and to celebrate Havok’s 15 year Anniversary.

Developers can look forward to Havok exhibiting in Business Meeting Room #2822 at the 2015 Game Developers Conference, hosted at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, California from March 2nd to March 6th, 2015. Pretty big deal though to be congratulated by a technological provider like Havok.
